Tomarhi is an architecture studio based in Târgu Jiu, Gorj County, turning every brief into clear, well-grounded solutions thoughtfully integrated into their context. We work to a single principle, exceptional design and innovative solutions, considered from the first analysis through to handover.
We are members of the Romanian Order of Architects (OAR), with signing rights, and our portfolio includes EU-funded projects, from tourist guesthouses to wellness centres.
Architectural design is the studio’s core activity and the foundation of every project we develop. We treat architecture as a coherent, well-structured process in which spatial, functional and technical solutions are conceived as one. We start from how a building will actually be lived in and used, the relationship between inside and outside, orientation to light, and how the structure sits within its surroundings, pursuing sound function, correct proportions and balanced architecture.
Our capability is multidisciplinary: architecture, structural engineering and building services are coordinated as a single whole from the project’s earliest stages. We cover the full course of an investment, from concept and feasibility study through to technical design, permitting documentation and on-site supervision, and complement design work with surveys, technical assessments, 3D renderings and specialist consultancy. Whatever the scale or complexity, we manage the process through careful coordination of every discipline involved.
We work for private clients, institutional investments and local public authorities, developing individual homes, residential ensembles, commercial and administrative buildings, tourism and leisure projects, and projects financed through European funds. Based in Târgu Jiu with work points in Novaci and Bucharest, we stay close to projects across Gorj and the wider Oltenia region, as well as the Bucharest area.

Dialogue with the client
Every project develops through ongoing dialogue, until the solution answers both functional and aesthetic needs. We refine the concept together, arriving at a clear, agreed direction.
Context and rigour
We always start from the site, the planning rules and the applicable legal framework, so that solutions are properly grounded in urban, technical and legal terms, with care for how they fit the built and natural setting.
Balanced function
We pursue a clear organisation of space, correct proportions and balanced architecture, shaped to each client’s long-term needs and to the specific requirements of each use.
